Cut Head Tacks, also known internationally as Wedge Shank Tacks, are a special type of fastening nail widely used in footwear manufacturing, leather craft, upholstery, and traditional woodworking.
In China, they are commonly called "Fish Tail Nails" because of the unique wedge-shaped shank design. However, in overseas markets, they are recognized as cut head tacks or wedge shank shoe tacks, not fish tail nails.
Unlike standard shoe tacks with round shanks, these tacks feature a flat wedge-type shank, providing stronger grip and reduced rotation inside materials.
